Jumbo GB

Jumbo GB is a voluntary motorcycle and three-wheeler organisation based in Birmingham. The members provide funding and activities for children with disabilities and special needs.

Their first run was in 1961, from Coventry to Dudley Zoo, and there has been a run every year since.

The three RAOB Lodges in Cyprus, together with PGL, donated £340 to this very worthwhile cause. This year’s run was to West Midlands Safari Park. Click here to view some photos.

Cyprus Anti Cancer Society

The Troodos Pride of Cyprus Lodge recently donated 1,500 Euros to the Cyprus Anti Cancer Society.

On Saturday 29 March 2009, ten riders completed the James Mercury Sponsored Bike Ride, in aid of the PGP’s Appeal - JumboGB.

The weather was kind to us and the wind was behind us for most of the way. The ride was completed much quicker than expected and we were soon back at the Lodge.

Following a quick, outside, cold shower we were soon into party mode and a very good social afternoon was held. Food was donated by members and guests, we held a raffle and tossed coins at a bottle of Southern Comfort. Everyone agreed that it was a most successful day and with over 1,800 Euros being raised for Bro Ken’s appeal everyone who took part in any capacity should be well pleased with their efforts.
