On Saturday 29 March 2009, ten riders completed the James Mercury Sponsored Bike Ride, in aid of the PGP’s Appeal - JumboGB.
The weather was kind to us and the wind was behind us for most of the way. The ride was completed much quicker than expected and we were soon back at the Lodge.
Following a quick, outside, cold shower we were soon into party mode and a very good social afternoon was held. Food was donated by members and guests, we held a raffle and tossed coins at a bottle of Southern Comfort. Everyone agreed that it was a most successful day and with over 1,800 Euros being raised for Bro Ken’s appeal everyone who took part in any capacity should be well pleased with their efforts.
